What is leukemia?

Leukemia is a cancer that affects the blood. A person with leukemia has a large number of abnormal white blood cells. Also that person can not fight of infections. What causes laukemia is unknown. Leukemia is a very deadly it has alot of risk factors like explosure to high-engery radiation and certain chemicals. Leukemia comes in two types acute and chronic. People with acute leukemia the cancer developes quickly  and a person with chronic leukemia the cancer develops slowly. Most children have the acute form of leukemia. There is less then 50 cases of children that suffers with chronic leukemia.
